The GFCAM has been designed with special consideration for rain and dust resistance, so it can operate in harsh environmental conditions with outstanding resistance to shock, vibration, rain, and sand, providing excellent reliability for stable ENG shooting.

Mit der neuen Beschleuniger-Hardware und I/O-Einheiten "Mojo DX" und "Nitris DX" und angepassten
Softwareversionen von Media Composer v3.0, NewsCutter v7.0 und Symphony v3.0 wird eine extrem
verbesserte HD-Echtzeit-Performace erreicht.

Die Verbindung zwischen Computer und DX-Boxen erfolgt über den - im Vergleich mit Firewire 20fach
schnelleren - PCI Express-Bus. Die "Mojo DX" bietet SD- und HD-SDI Ein- und Ausgänge und einen
HDMI-Ausgang. Bei der größeren "Nitris DX" können alle gängigen analogen und digitalen Video- und
Audiosignale verarbeitet werden.

Die Systemarchitektur ist so ausgelegt, dass die CPU, Grafikkarte und DX-Boxen über PCIe-Bus eng mit der Avid Software verbunden sind und durch die optimale Verteilung der Rechenprozesse eine maximale Echtzeit-Performance erreicht wird.
So lassen sich mit der "Nitris DX" 6 Videoströme in voller HD-Auflösung gleichzeitig abspielen.
Liegt das Material im Avid-DNxHD-Codec vor, ist kein Rendering mehr notwendig.

Der beste Workflow mit File-basierten Systemen ist mit der EditcamHD von Ikegami möglich, weil
diese bereits den DNxHD-Codec verwendet. Die auf den Fieldpacks aufgezeichneten MXF-Dateien
können im Avid direkt verarbeitet werden !

Andere Formate wie XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX, DVDPro HD, P2 werden ebenfalls unterstützt.

Die neuen Softwareversionen sind auch auf den Betriebssystemen Mac Leopard und Windows Vista 32 bit- und 64 bit lauffähig.
